Born and brought up in India, Deepak started practicing yoga at the age of 5 years old.
Yoga championships being very popular in India, he started his professional career by competing for the first time in his life when he was only 7 years old.
He became an Indian national yoga champion at the age of 12 and continued to be a state and national champion for the next 13 consecutive years. He is also an international yoga champion and 2 times university yoga champion.
He got a scholarship to become a Bikram yoga teacher in 2009 and since then, Deepak has been traveling and teaching yoga including giving several workshops and training programs in Europe, Asia, Mexico, and the United States.
Inspired by the therapeutic approach of traditional hatha yoga from India, Deepak has developed a series of physical exercises and yoga postures that help in building up a great deal of flexibility, strength, and balance in the human body. This series has helped many yoga practitioners to heal their physical injuries and advance in their yoga practice.
He is the founder of Yogakul, a traditional hatha yoga school where a group of teachers, trained by him, teach the same series of yoga postures along with providing yoga trainings, retreats, and theory courses in different parts of Mexico city.
